Why Does Chewing Matter?
Chewing isn’t just about eating—it’s essential for healthy facial development, strong jaw growth, and proper oral function. But in today’s world, kids are chewing less than ever.
In primitive cultures, diets were filled with tough, fibrous foods that naturally exercised the jaw, encouraged proper swallowing, and supported healthy breathing. Modern processed diets, however, require much less chewing, which can lead to underdeveloped jaws, misaligned teeth, and even airway issues.
By encouraging proper chewing, we can not only support oral health but also digestion, nasal breathing, concentration, memory, and overall well-being, laying the foundation for a healthier future.
