Relax During Your Visit

Sedation Dentistry

Biological dentist, Dr. Shetty with a patient at her Pewaukee dental clinic

Don't let fear and anxiety keep you from seeing a dentist

Sedation dentistry (also referred to as sleep dentistry) allows us to perform dental procedures while you sleep. It uses medication to make a 5 hour visit seem like 5 minutes! Sedation dentistry is safe, can help you relax and reduce any anxiety you may feel about going to the dentist. It’s a great way to get your dental work done, even if you’re

Integrative Dental Solutions offers you the option of comfortable, safe and effective sedation dentistry. All it takes is a simple pill and, when your treatment is complete, you will have no recollection of the time it took or the discomfort you were expecting. If you are putting off having dental work performed because you fear the pain or discomfort involved, sedation dentistry might be the right choice for you.

Types of Sedation Used in Dentistry

Integrative Dental Solutions offers both oral sedation and general anesthesia.

  • Oral Sedation. You take a pill to make you drowsy and possibly groggy enough to fall asleep during your dental procedure. Oral sedation is usually a lighter form of sedation – it will help you relax, reduce anxiety and may allow you sleep. However, you can be awoken easily.
  • Deep Sedation. We contract with a Board Certified Dentist Anesthesiologist who can provide a deeper level of safe and effective anesthesia. Our partnering practitioner is highly experienced, uses state-of-the-art monitors, anesthetic and emergency equipment, and will stay at your side during the procedure.
