Meet Dr. Parikh
Originally from India, Dr. Aanal Parikh grew up in a family where food was considered medicine. Her parents (her father was a physician and her mother had a double master in mathematics and education) brought her up with holistic health values and shared with her their immense knowledge of western medicine and ancient Ayurveda. She learned to keep balance in every aspect of life, and yoga and meditation were both a part of her routine growing up. Given her background, Dr. Parikh believes in the importance of a biological and holistic approach to dentistry. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the team at Integrative Dental Solutions and work to pass on the knowledge and skills she learned throughout her life.
For the past couple of years, Dr. Aanal Parikh has volunteered at the Head and Neck Cancer Screening program at Froedtert and the Medical College Cancer Center. She loves to work with kids. She believes harboring healthy habits early on is fundamental for a healthy oral and overall life.
She also believes there is a strong correlation between oral health & general wellbeing, so she considers each patient’s comprehensive needs and works closely with dental, medical and naturopathic teams to help her patients realize their optimal health.
Dr. Parikh received her dental degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry here in Wisconsin, and before that she was a dentist practicing in India. After moving to the United states, she did a residency in AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) where she completed additional training in treating patients with compromised general health, complex medical histories and special physical and mental needs.
Dr. Parikh also works as a Clinical Faculty member at Marquette University School of Dentistry, the place that is her alma mater. She loves giving back to the dental fraternity all the knowledge she has gained as a Dental practitioner.
When she is not working, Dr. Parikh enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys playing sports, writing, music and cooking. She is a firm believer in continuing education and is currently working toward improving and enhancing her knowledge and skills to better serve her patients.
